ColognePride continually prompts politics to act, to raise society‘ s awareness, to reduce and prohibit discrimination and to ensure equal coexistence.

KLuST makes the following demands:

  • Providing expanded financing of affirmative action and explanatory work at schools as well as certifying these schools with a plaque.
  • Raising awareness and support for young LGBTIQ* persons during their coming out by explanatory work as well as providing emergency hotlines and a nationwide network of consulting services.
  • Cooperation between LGBTIQ* youth centres and heteronormative youth clubs and youth groups.
  • Financial security for queer youth clubs and all LGBTIQ* consulting services and centres.
  • Enhanced affirmative action for people living with HIV concerning their domestic sphere and workplace; providing means for explanatory work about new methods or treatment such as PREP and prevention of HIV and STI.
  • Improvement of media coverage e.g. on IDAHOT, CSD or Coming Out Day, as well as enhanced visibility of lesbian, transsexual and bisexual people in the media.
  • Increase of support for LGBTIQ* refugees, especially for young refugees, such as enhanced training for administration personnel, secure accommodation and enhanced efforts against threats of deportation due to mistrial decisions by BAMF (Federal Office for Migration and Refugees); no AnKER centres (centres that “accommodate asylum applicants awaiting a decision” (BAMF)) for refugees.
  • Reinforcing care work with elder LGBTIQ* (stationary as well as home care); final full and quick support for all victims of §175.
  • Establishment of anti-discrimination law in §3 of the German Basic Law; nationwide campaigns agains homo- and transphobia.
  • Enforcement of the Stuttgart declaration (treatment of people with sexual abnormalities compliant to the Declaration of Human Rights). Immediate involvement of experts and activists in current consultations on drafts of the amendment of the law.
  • Final separation of all religions and the state; ending the unequal labour law-related treatment of employees of the church.
  • The adoption law for lesbian couples has to be adjusted.
  • A true confession as well as action plans of the government and the media against right-wing populism, racism, antisemitism, homo-, bi- and transphobia and the general degradation of minorities.
  • We summon state governments and state police departments to record separately (as is already done in Berlin) those criminal offenses that were committed due to sexual identity as to facilitate prevention work.
